The King and the Knight

Let\’s say you\’re a knight, and you enter the throne room, where the king is currently seated. Immediately, you bend your knees. You don\’t need to be told to do it, it\’s the king, it\’s the right thing to do. All the knights around are like you, kneeling down.

Now, the king points to one of the knights, and explains that this knight was extremely brave in battle, that his actions saved the army and ensured victory, and so for this reason, all the knights must bend their knees to him too.

So now, in the room, there are 2 people in front of whom the knights must bend the knee.

When the knights bend the knee in front of the knight designated by the king, is that the same as bending the knee in front of the king?

The answer should be no.

You bend the knee in front of the king because he is the king. You would not do it in front of anyone else.

You bend the knee in front of the knight because you acknowledge him, and because you obey the king who told you to.

So when the knight is invited to sit on a throne, at the right hand of the king, you bend the knee in front of both, but for different reason/context.

Revelation chapters 4 and 5.

Think about it!
